Jubilation gallore as Prince Adenola Odutuga donates two Transformers to Odoragunshin kingdom

By Idris Olukoya In a bid to boost the availability of power supply for the betterment of community livelihoods, One of the Notable Sons of the Land Prince Tomiwa Adenola Odutuga, has donated two new 500 kva transformers to Odoragushin Kingdom in Eredo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State. Odutuga is a prince and a candidate vying for the position of Obaship at Odoragushin kingdom. He said that his voluntary contribution was to boost the growth and development of the ancient community. During an interview with Prince Tomiwa Odutuga, while delivering/handingover the transformer to the community on Saturday, said that the ecstasy of his people was his utmost priority.

”I feel sad to know that my community has been in darkness for long period of time because the few transformers serving them are faulty, so I decided to surprise them in the little way I can and hope to do more in the nearest future as God will, " he said. Mrs Olusola Ladega, Iyalode of Odoragushin Kingdom, commended Prince Ademola Odutuga for his kind gesture to the community. According to her, the entire community is grateful to him for his gesture of donating two new transformers for community use. Iyaloja said: “The people of Odoragushin will forever be grateful to Prince Odutuga for this gesture. We are very proud of what you have been doing for us in the community. You have made us proud at home and abroad. Similarly, Mr Hammed Odutayo, Youth President of Odoragushin, said that Prince Odutuga has displayed himself as a worthy son of Odoragushin by donating transformers and by carrying out several youth empowerment program for the community youths. "We say a very big thank you for what you have done for us, we are most grateful. "The entire youths of Odoragushin Kingdom are very greateful to the angel donor for restoring the outage they are passing through. He said: “The entire Youths are happy for the new transformers purchase by Prince Odutuga. “Today, the youths in Odoragushin are all gathered here to celebrate our proud son and the people popular demand because he has brought light back to us in Odoragushin Kingdom, " he said. Also, Mr Ajade Adeoti, Secretary, Odoragushin Youth Organisation, said they had formed an electricity committee working on how to get a transformer when Prince Odutuga came to rescue us. “I am a member of the Electricity committee of Odoragushin Kingdom formed by the youth of the community, we are negotiating with officials of Eko Electricity Distribution Company (EKEDC) when Prince Odutuga assisted us with a brand new 500kva and 300kva Transformers. “We now have new transformers that was championed by one of our proud son of the kingdom, it makes it easier for us, it makes the community move from darkness to light. "This is a great gesture from a son of the soil who doesn’t want his kinsmen to languish in darkness, " he said. Adeoti disclosed that before Prince Odutuga intervention, the electricity committee had written several letters to their lawmakers in Lagos and Abuja to no avail. Earlier, Comrade Babatunde Ismail, member of Community Development Association(CDA), said that the two transformer would help the community to improve the stagging public power supply to the rural community. Ismail commended the donor for putting the people first at all times and helped in no small measure to ensure the community are rescued from darkness and also empowering the youths to be self reliance.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng).
