THE JUDGEMENT IS UNACCEPTABLE, WE'RE GOING TO APPEAL BECAUSE ETI-OSA IS FOR LABOUR — PASTOR DAYO ASSURES PARTY MEMBERS AND OBI-DIENTS

The Labour Party, Lagos State Chairman Pastor Dayo Ekong has stated that the order by the Tribunal for a re-run for Eti-Osa Federal House of Representative is unacceptable. She urged party faithfuls and OBI-dients to remain calm that there is no cause for alarm. According to her, Labour Party's House of Representatives candidate, Atta Achief Thaddeus, won with a Landslide at the February 25th elections. The LP, Lagos Chairman made this statement in reaction to the recent development of tribunal order for a rerun of the House of representative elections in Eti-Osa LGA. In the election which was held on the 25th of February, 2023 INEC declared Hon. Atta Achief Thaddeus of Labour Party who scored 24,075 votes as the winner, Banky W and Babajide Obanikoro were said to have scored 18,668 and 16,901 votes respectively. The Tribunal had ordered a re-run (supplementary election) in the 32 polling units where elections did not hold.

Pastor Ekong stressed that whatever is thrown at us, Eti-Osa is OBI-dient and nothing will change that. In her words; “The judgement on Atta's case is unacceptable. We are going to appeal because the Labour Party won with a Landslide. 'There is no cause for alarm because I am confident that Eti-Osa is for the Labour Party. No shaking!“ She added.
