The Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ALARHOSPS), which celebrated its tenth anniversary with the opening of a renovated hall at the Epe Grammar School in Epe, Lagos state, will always be remembered for its contributions to society.
All retired permanent secretaries in the state as well as the royal fathers in the Epe division of the state were invited to the ceremony, which was held on Monday, September 25, 2023, at the renovated hall in Epe Grammar School.
Dr. Olufemi Olugbile, the association's president, claims that the initiative is doing everything possible to contribute its fair share to the improvement of education in all of the state's schools.
He made use of the opportunity to showcase some of the association's many accomplishments.
However, he challenged the Epe Grammar School pupils to use the renovated space wisely and to put in their all in order to keep the school rising to the top of the rankings in the nation.
In his statement, Chief Oluwaseun Afuye, the Akeweje of the Ilara Kingdom and member of the delegation sent by HRM Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo, the Alara of Ilara, stated the following:
"This gathering is evidence of the Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries of Lagos State's unwavering commitment and dedication.
"Your years of work have not only made a lasting impression on the government's civil service,within the state.
"Those who follow in your footsteps have a bright example to follow in your legacy."
He added that as well;
"Your unwavering dedication to education and community development is demonstrated by the official Commissioning of the renovated facilities today."
With these improvements, Epe Grammar School is ready to continue educating young minds for years to come. It has long been a symbol of academic achievement in our area.
This kind act exemplifies the touching bond between devoted public officials and the community they serve.
Your continued dedication to service, support for education, and tireless efforts to uplift our beloved state are truly commendable." he affirmed.
The national body of the Epe Grammar School Old Students Association (EGOSA) ably represented by Barrister Kazeem replicated by presenting the association with a basket of fish for their frantic efforts.
