Ahmed Musa was born in Jos, Plateau state, on October 14, 1992.
He is best referred to as a "J-town boy" because he was born in Jos but the Nigerian international is a Borno State native.
Musa turned 31 on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and celebrated in style.

Musa also gave out the filling station selling at that price.
Since President Bola Tinubu declared the complete elimination of the hotly contested but well-liked fuel subsidy, prices have skyrocketed, and lines at filling stations have become lengthy nationwide.
Nigerians continue to find a way to stockpile petrol as the price has pushed up to about six hundred and fifty naira.

500 kilometers north of his hometown of Jos, in Kano, Musa the Nigerian captain owns a petrol station.
His portfolio includes real estate, a sports and fitness center, an international school, as well as the Kano gas station.
Having started his football career nearby with Kano Pillars, Musa is well-known in the region, living five hours away from where he was born.
Musa was not called up to the Super Eagles team for the friendly games against the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia or Mozambique.
It is expected that Musa will return to the team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
