The Minister of Defence, Mohammed Abubakar, paid a visit to the Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum, and some wounded zoldiers at the military hospital in the state.
Abubakar's visit to the state was for an on-the-spot assessment of the challenges confronting troops of the Nigerian Army, as directed by President Bola Tinubu.
Photos from the visit were shared on the Nigerian Army Facebook page on Wednesday.
According to the statement accompanying the photos, the visit took place on Tuesday.
The statement partly read, "At the Headquarters Theatre Command, Defence minister was briefed on the operational activities and security situation in the North East theatre by the Theatre Commander Major General Gold Chibuisi, after which he proceeded to pay a visit to wounded in action personnel receiving treatment at the 7 Division Medical Services and Hospital."
