Ikeja local government Executive Chairman, Engr. Mojeed Alabi Balogun in his usual zeal to improve socio-economic well-being of residents and indigenes in Ikeja, the Council Chairman and his wife, Chief Mrs Abigeal Balogun massively empowers constituents of Ikeja community.
Women and youths were adequate empowered by way of receiving various types of equipments and work tools for business and economic activities.
Delivering her speech, the wife of the Chairman, and Chairperson of the council, Chief Mrs Abigeal Balogun maintained that it is very important to empower women and youths in our community.
"It is not enough to give people money alone, empowering our small business operators and youths by giving them business equipment is the best way for economic independence"
"In Ikeja LG, the Executive Chairman is committed to improving the lives of people in Ikeja through means of socio-economic empowerment and sustainability" - the host, Chief Mrs Abigeal Balogun said.
Business equipments distributed include; Industrial sewing machine, Industrial Cooking Gas and stove, Refrigerator (Deep Freezers), Power Generator, Barbing clipper, Beauty Make-up kits, Grinding machine, Hair dryers, Baking oven and Gas, as well as packs of soft drinks and table water.
The empowerment programme was attended by members of Ikeja LG Executive committee, Legislative council members, management staff, and staff of the council.
In attendance also is the Ikeja APC party leaders and Stakeholders as led by Chair of Chair of APC LGA Chairmen, Lagos State and Ikeja APC party Chairman, Alhaji Dally Adekunle Adeokun.
