It was all merry making today Thursday, 21st December, 2023 at the Ikosi Ejirin LCDA as the council chairman, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo and his wife, Mrs. Sijuade Akanke Anomo celebrated the children’s party with pomps and pageantries.
Notable men and women across Eredo and Ikosi Ejirin were in attendance at the event.
According to Anomo, he pointed out that his administration is leaving no stone unturned towards the overall development of the local council.
He added that he will ensure better days ahead of the people in terms welfare packages, education, empowerment and lots more
He promised that his administration will do more in all ramifications to better the lots of the residents and assured that the next edition of the Christmas party will be more elaborate where the parents will also enjoy themselves and take home valuable and useful items.
He did not forget to thank the legislative arm, management staff and the entire people of the area for their cooperation since he assumed office as the Executive Chairman of the LCDA.
The chairperson of the LCDA Mrs. Sijuade Anomo in her speech thanked the good people of Ikosi-Ejirin for their unflinching support for her husband so far.
She said;
“Ikosi-Ejirin is planning very well for the future of the children. This is serving as a platform to showcase healthy competition in the young ones”
“Today’s event is special because we have Engr. Aramide Adeyoye who is our Special Guest of Honour”
“She is an exemplary leader who sees the future of our children as important as any other thing”
“I want to appreciate various sponsors of this annual event and pray that they will never lack in their endeavour”
“The Executive Chairman is once again appreciated for his unwavering kindness towards the development of the youths in our local council”
“He is a lover of the youths and benevolent giver”
The Executive Chairman of the LCDA, Hon. Wale Raji Anomo while answering questions from the newsmen said;
“Though, the programme is being anchored by my wife, but we all come together to celebrate the children during this yuletide”
“We have lots of programmes lined up for the children today. Quiz, pick and talk, funfair etc. We shall do more for our people”.
“We need to put smiles on the faces of the children. They are our happiness of tomorrow and the future leaders”.
Asked about the things to expect in the new year, he responded that;
“We have better plans ahead of the new year. We just concluded our annual budget retreat yesterday and we agreed to further extend dividends to our people”
“We shall continue to give our people good governance to the people who elected us”
“I pray Allaah to give us the opportunity and strength to support our people the more and be able to deliver more of the promises earlier made to them”
One the beneficiaries appreciated the gestures of the chairman in trying to put smiles on the faces of the sundry.
She urged the residents to continue their support for the administration in all ramifications.
Meanwhile, items such as gas cylinders, grinding machines, cooler, popcorn frying machines etc were distributed to the lucky winners of the raffle draws.
However, the children and their parents all treated to various funs while food items were also distributed to all.
