Igbooye vocational training center students bags some equipments as they showcase their acquired skills during their exhibition program at the school premises.
In a society where the issue of low standard living and poverty has become a rampard issue, Hon Saliu Adeniyi empowered the best graduants from the two batches in the vocational sections from the total of 75 graduate in year 2021 to ensure poverty reduction and job creation.
the immediate past Executive Chairman,Eredo LCDA,Hon. Adeniyi Saliu,represented by his CPS, Prince Oluwaseyi Keshinro, and others, parents and youths were encouraged to take vocational skills serious noting that everybody cannot have white collar job. They added that, having vocational skills,makes one self- reliant, creative and having good time for oneself.
Principal of the school,Mrs. Cecilia Adekintan Elehibiri express her happiness, ” I am very delighted and grateful to God for the opportunity to fulfil this great desire in the tenure of my administration”.
She implore the graduands to judiciously use their skill to change their life positively and contribute to the society at large.
She later advised that parents and guardians, should ensure that their children acquire relevant vocational skills,even, if they are still going to acquire tertiary education or they have already acquired that.

Empowering someone is equivalent to feeding someone for life, so I implore you all and especially the best graduands who were given equipment base on their respective skill Fashion Designing, Hair Dressing, Tillers, Bead Making, Soap Making, Barber etc. they should make use of it rather than selling or abandoning it as handwork is also a crucial skill when education is not available or not in use”
The principal also implore and encourage the parents and guardians to enroll their child/children into the vocational center while waiting for their admission into tertiary institution as this will ensure that they are positively engage during this period because like the saying goes “An idle hand is the devil’s workshop”.
She specially thanked the leaders and all the sons and daughters of Igbooye and Okemagba, for their supports,which she said made the event a reality.

" Get all our youths that are just passing out of Senior Secondary Schools,those that cannot further their education after Junior Secondary and Tertiary Certificate holders,who are yet to secure good jobs seize this golden opportunity to make themselves relevant,self-reliant and employer of labor in the society and Nigeria as a whole" She said.
" Our youths are important,they are resources to be developed. With proper guidance,monitoring and motivation,they can significantly alternative and improve the nation's economy whereby this "JAPA" Syndrome can be minimized" She advised
