President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in Olayinka Oladunjoye as the federal commissioner representing Lagos state in the National Population Commission (NPC).
The swearing-in ceremony preceded the commencement of the federal executive council (FEC) meeting at the council chamber of the State House, Abuja.
Oladunjoye replaces Bimbo Salaudeen at the NPC.
Speaking to state house correspondents after the swearing-in, Oladunjoye said she is ready to work with all stakeholders in deploying technology to achieve data driven census.
Those present at the FEC meeting included George Akume, secretary to the government of the federation (SGF); Folashade Yemi-Esan, head of the civil service of the federation; Femi Gbajabiamila, chief of staff to the president; Nuhu Ribadu, national security adviser (NSA) and other cabinet members.
Oladunjoye is a former commissioner for education in Lagos and was vice-chairperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos east senatorial district.
