In a bid towards easing the hardship occasioned by the current economic situation in Nigeria, the member LAHA Epe II, Hon. Oluwadaunsi Ogunkelu distributed food and cash as palliatives to over one thousand (1000) people in his constituency.
That marked the second edition of the exercise by the legislator since this era of food insecurity began.
The event took place today, Sunday, 10th March, 2024 at the Hon. Odubote event center, Mojoda, Eredo, Epe and it witnessed the presence of who is who in the political arena of Epe constituency II.
According to the lawmaker the sole reason for the exercise was to bring smiles and succour to the faces of the constituents this period.
He said;
“I sincerely appreciate the leadership of our party, the APC in Eredo LCDA, Epe and the state at large”.
“Today’s programme is the second in the series and it is geared towards making our people smile once again”.
“Bring their representative at the state assembly, I owe them much love and support to see that we are all happy in this period”.
“I must reiterate the commitment of our president, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to see that this era passes over in no time”.
“He is working round the clock to see that all our sufferings become things of the past”.
"Your support and cooperation are the reasons for my presence here and I will never at anytime let you down”
"Let me assure you that this distribution of palliatives will be in every three months to further ease the hardship of the people”, he declared.
While speaking with the newsmen, the Eredo APC LGA, Party Chairman, Alhaji Muftau Muhammad commended the efforts of hon Ogunkelu Sketel for his laudable initiative on the distribution of food and cash to his constituents.
He agreed that;
“This event is a laudable project of Hon. Ogunkelu Slyvester because he knows what people need this period”.
“Coming up with this programme is highly commendable and we pray that it is sustained for a while so that much more people will benefit”
In her own comment own speech, the APC Vice Chairman, Lagos East Senatorial District, Yeye Olayinka Olusanya enjoined the people to exercise patient for the administration of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu in fixing the country
She said;
“It will take no time for one to destroy things but to fix it will take time. I have no doubt in me that the hardship we are experiencing will soon be a thing of the past”
“The president knows where the shoe pinches and there will soon be light at the end of the tunnel”, she assured.
