Lagostrend reported that Mr. Governor's Babajide Sanwo-Olu visit to Badagry, facilitated by Hon. Bonu Solomon Saanu Bonu SSB, Chairman House Committee on Tourism, Lagos State House of Assembly, the Honourable Commissioner, Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Toke Benson-Awoyinka with the Special Adviser on Works, Engr. Adekunle Olayinka, the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Mrs Oloruntoyin Atekoja, Directors from the Ministry and representatives of Sagheto Nigeria Limited, on Sunday May 5, 2024 was in Badagry for an inspection tour of some tourism sites and assets within the Badagry Zone that have been earmarked for rehabilitation and restoration.
The special inspection team was received and led by Mr. Tunde Ajose, State Liason Officer for the Ministry and a tourism expert.
Sites visited included the Colonial District Officer’s residence, Vlekete Slave Market Museum, Heritage Museum, and the ‘point of no return’ amongst others
Lagostrend reports that the all abandoned projects has been reawarded to the contractor, Sagheto Nigeria Limited and work is expected to commence soon
