The sale, which started at around 11am, continued till later in the evening as crowds of residents kept pouring into the venue of the sale in order to benefit from the subsidised food items.

The exercise was conducted in an orderly manner devoid of rowdiness and any incidence of breakdown of order.

Potential buyers bought the tickets for the food items they were interested in after which they went to the collection  point to collect their food items and thereafter exited the Secretariat with their purchase.
