Despite his deposition by the Kano State Government on May 23, the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has directed district heads to attend the Eid-ul-Kabir Durbar in Kano, scheduled for June 16.
In a letter signed by the Palace’s Senior Counselor and Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, it was stated that the District Head should prepare and attend a meeting at the Nasarawa Palace of the Emir of Kano to prepare and formalize the Durbar, which will be presided over by the 15th Emir, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero.
Since his deposition by the Kano State Government following the repeal of the 2019 Emirate Law, the 15th Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has been holding court at the Nasarawa Palace amidst heavy security presence. Meanwhile, the 16th Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi (II), is holding court at the ancient Emir’s Palace, Kofar Kudu, known as Gidan Rumfa.
