The Commissioner representing Epe Division in the Lagos State, Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki, has appealed to all Politicians to emulate the Prophet Ibrahim,by always fulfilling their electoral promises to the electorates. He stated this on Sunday,June 16,2024,while talking to the pressmen on the significance of Eid-el-Kabir Celebration
He pointed out that Prophet Ibrahim,in an attempt to fulfill his promise to Almighty Allah,was about slaughtering his only son,before Almighty Allah made a provision of a Ram for him,which he slaughtered instead of his son. He noted that politicians should learn from the event that led to Eid-el-Kabir celebration,in order to serve the electorates better.
" I want to enjoin all of us to always fulfill our promises,particularly,politicians,who usually make electoral promises during Electioneering Campaign,such as provision of basic amenities and people-oriented programmes for the people,but usually fail to fulfill such promises ,after they are voted into offices. I want to appeal that you should fulfill your electoral promises to the electorates. We must also have faith in the Almighty Allah,because the beginning of Success and Wisdom is by following the path of the Almighty Allah" He stressed.
"This moment ,as we all know what is happening in this country,it is also for all of us that God has given opportunity to have more than others to extend our helping hands to the needy and the poor around us. As the Apashe of Epe Land, my biological father,Alhaji ( Chief) Shakirudeen Akanni Seriki ( Baba Bamu), has been helpful to all and sundry and my humble self,has not relented in helping others,according to my ability; and host of other individuals,I appeal to everyone to be his brother's keep at this critical moment" He added
