Bankole, a former Welfare Secretary of the Lagos APC, was among the pilgrims who succumbed to the unbearable heat in the holy land.
News of Bankole's death was confirmed on Thursday by the council chairmen of Epe Local Government, Eredo, and Ikosi-Ejirin Local Council Development Area (LCDA). The former politician's demise comes as a shock to her friends and family, who are still reeling from the loss.
