In a swift response to the recent flooding incidents that affected many parts of Lagos State, the Chairman of Ibeju Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdulahi Sesan Olowa, has begun clearing drainages to prevent flooding in the area.
Just 24 hours after the flooding incidents, Chairman Olowa met with stakeholders to discuss measures to prevent future occurrences. The meeting was a proactive move to ensure that the community is prepared for the rainy season and to mitigate the impact of flooding.
The drainage clearing exercise is aimed at ensuring that water flows freely and does not accumulate, reducing the risk of flooding. The Chairman's quick response has been commended by residents and stakeholders, who praised his proactive approach to addressing the issue.
