Breaking News: Oba of Lagos appealed to Nigerians to Patience with Tinubu's Government

 

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akinlu, has appealed to Nigerians to be patient with the government of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stating that the president means well for the nation and is grassroots-focused. He made this statement during a visit from the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, at his Iga Idugaran palace in Lagos.

Oba Akinlu also admonished the youth to be closer to God and learn to be self-sufficient, rather than relying on others for support. Additionally, he restated his appeal for a special status for Lagos State as the former Federal Capital of Nigeria.

The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, thanked the monarch for his support and prayers, assuring him that President Tinubu will do well for the country. She also promised that the request for a special status for Lagos State will receive attention from the National Assembly through the Lagos representatives.

The visit ended with a traditional blessing from the Oba of Lagos.
