In commemoration of Epe annual Kayokayo Festival, The Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sanwo-Olu On Technical And Vocational Education Board, Comrade Giwa Moore who is also the President, Epe Youth Forum mobilised thousands of Epe Youths within the community to kick against protest and any form of social vices that will lead to destruction of life and properties in the state.
According to Giwa Moore, Lagos has not recovered from the aftermath of the 2020 #EndSARS protest that led to the destruction of property and loss of lives in the state.
He pointed out due to the 2020 protest, lives were cut short in their prime, businesses worth billions of naira destroyed, resulting in job losses.
Giwa Moore explained the planned protest slated for August 1st to 10th might have a recurrence and there is an urgent need to stop it from happening again.
He urged the youths to be patient with the government, stressing that the current administration has put in place positive policies and measures that will ameliorate the problems of the people.
He called for constructive dialogue, advocacy and community engagement as steps to address the challenges in the country, instead of embarking on protests that might be hijacked by hoodlums.
