Surah Olayemi Animashaun the exclusive chairman of Epe local government In a bid to sensitise the public most particularly the youths of Epe Local Government of Lagos state to be law abiding and shun all forms of thuggery and hooliganism, the Executive Chairman of the local council, Hon. Surah Olayemi Animashaun has once again called all stakeholders in the community for a meeting to discuss the relevant security issues concerning the ancient town.

The meeting which was well attended by the youths, religious leaders, traders, political leaders and others was held yesterday, Tuesday 23rd July, 2024 at the council premises.

Some of the highlights of the meeting included the security of the local government; youthful exorbitances; government affairs and achievements among others.

In her words;

“I want to use this medium to appeal to our youths who are still out there and causing mayhem in the community to be law abiding and obedient to the constituted authority”

“There is nothing to gain in engaging in thuggery and banditry because they are social vices which can disturb our future”

“Thank God that, the efforts of all to curb these dastard acts are becoming fruitful at all times”

“Epe is now becoming a safe place for us all. Our businesses, trades and transactions are relatively safe compared to what used to happen in the past”

“I want to commend our security agents and other law enforcement agencies who have been working tirelessly to see that we are all protected”.

While speaking on her achievements so far, she said;

“We have done things differently from the past administrations in the local government”

“We have successfully done a lot to curb the incessant flood in the community. We have cleared about 18 drainages this rainy season”

“We have touched other sectors such as education, economic, social, and even political affairs within the democratic period we resumed”
