The Lagos Community Youth Development Initiative (LCYDI), under the leadership of Amb. Dele Moses, wishes to express our strong opposition to the planned protest organized by unidentified leaders with the intent to create unrest and anarchy in Nigeria. We categorically distance our organization from this planned demonstration.
In light of the current economic difficulties facing our nation, LCYDI believes that now more than ever, it is crucial for the youth and all citizens to support the efforts aimed at alleviating these hardships. The government is actively working on policies to address and resolve these economic issues. Engaging in protests that may lead to violence and destruction will not contribute positively to solving these challenges and will instead undermine the progress being made.
We urge the youth of Nigeria to shun and reject participation in any actions that could result in chaos and harm. It is vital that we channel our energies into supporting peaceful and productive engagements that foster national unity and development.
LCYDI is dedicated to advocating for peaceful and constructive means of addressing societal issues. We encourage everyone to remain engaged in dialogue, support government efforts, and work towards collaborative solutions that benefit the entire country.
We call on our members in the 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State to shun protest and violence capable of destroying the efforts of the government in Lagos and Nigeria as a nation.
We stand firm in our commitment to peace, stability, and progress. Let us work together to build a stronger, more resilient Nigeria.
