The Olu Epe of Epe kingdom, HRM Oba Shefiu Olatunji Adewale has affirmed that the year 2024 Epe Kayokayo festival will be more colourful.
Olu Epe made this assurance today, Friday July 19 in a Kayokayo press briefing held at his palace, Isale Agoro, Epe, Lagos State.
According to the monarch, "Arrangement has been perfected towards making this year's Kayokayo festival a fantastic one
"There is no need to panic over the present situation of the country as mighty God will make it possible for us.
"Kayokayo is meant to catch fun, merry and eat together in a friendly mood and it has been the cultural heritage of Epe.
"The festival is usually celebrate in the month of Moharam which is the first month of Islamic calendar". He pointed out
The chairman 2024 Epe Kayokayo planning committee, Alhaja Olushola Alade-Raji (Mama National) explained the that Kayokayo festival is categorized into three aspects which she state as social, cultural and economic aspects.
Alade-Raji further explained that the a week long festival will commenced with Qurianic competition and lecture on Saturday July 20 at the first Epe central mosque, Oke-balogun while there will be special prayer for all sons and daughters of Epe division as well as well as free medical check up on Sunday July 21st at the Olu Epe's palace
Novelty match is stated to hold on Monday July 22nd and youth rally will be on Tuesday 23rd kick off point at Olu Epe's palace by 8am
On Wednesday the 24th Olori Olu-Epe, HRH M Aribike Adewale will host children's Party to encourage the kids to focus on the great future ahead of them while on Thursday July 25 is staged for royal visit to the founding fathers and prominent homes across the community

The President Epe Youth Forum, Mr Giwa Moore stated that the Kayokayo youth rally which is stated to hold on Tuesday 23rd is an avenue to sensitize the youth to shun drug and pave way for aquisition of skills for them to function appropriately in the society
