Assistant Controller General of Federal Fire Service Visits Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service

 



Our Reporter miss Adigun Olufunke  gathered that Mrs. I. O. Achi, the newly posted Assistant Controller General of the Federal Fire Service for Zone F, South West Command, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service at its headquarters on Governor's Road, Alausa. The visit was warmly received by Mrs. Margaret Adeseye, Director of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, who welcomed the Federal Service team and provided a comprehensive tour of the facility.


During the tour, Mrs. Adeseye showcased the state-of-the-art equipment acquired under the Babajide Sanwo-Olu administration, highlighting the significant enhancements to the Agency's capability in efficiently managing fire emergencies in the state. Mrs. Achi, who has held the rank of Assistant Controller General prior to this appointment, expressed her admiration for the advanced equipment and the dedication of the officers at the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service. She emphasized the importance of continued cooperation between the two agencies and expressed her desire for increased synergy in her new role.


In response, Mrs. Adeseye assured the Federal Fire Service team of her Agency's full cooperation and readiness to collaborate. She presented a detailed roadmap highlighting the progress and achievements of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service since she assumed leadership in 2019, attributing these advancements to the support of the Lagos State Government. Mrs. Adeseye reaffirmed her commitment to further advancing the Agency's mission.


The visit underscores the mutual commitment of both the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service and the Federal Fire Service to improve fire safety and emergency response capabilities in Lagos State and beyond. This collaboration aims to enhance the effectiveness of fire safety measures and ensure the well-being of residents, demonstrating a shared vision for a safer and more resilient community.
