Lagos, Nigeria - The Federation of Students' Associations of Lagos State University of Science and Technology (FEDSA-LASUSTECH) held a press conference today to address the planned protest across the state.
"We understand the frustrations of our students, but we must explore alternative approaches to achieve our goals. Confrontation is not the only solution, and we urge our students to embrace dialogue and work with us to find solutions that benefit everyone," said President Sen. Habeeb O. Obadina.
Rt. Hon. Edu Shaffi Oladehinde, FEDSA-LASUSTECH Speaker, added, "We believe that by working together with the government, administration, and other stakeholders, we can find solutions that benefit everyone. We are committed to working collaboratively to address the challenges we face and create a positive and productive learning environment."
Comr. Surakat Miftaudeen, former SUG President of LASPOTECH, emphasized the importance of constructive dialogue, stating, "In Aluta, there are 3Cs of Aluta which are Consultation, Consolidation, and Confrontation. You must exhaust the 2Cs before moving to the next one. We haven't exhausted the 2Cs, so I see no reason we need to confront for now."
