Video + photos: EPE CLUB DONATES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO HEALTH FACILITIES ACROSS EPE DIVISION

 

The Premier Club of Epe Division, Epe Club, was on Saturday, August 10,2024, donated Multi-Million Naira Medical Equipment to some selected Primary Health Centres across Epe Division,which include,Epe Local Government, Eredo LCDA,Ikosi- Ejinrin LCDA,Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Lekki LCDA

While addressing the Medical Officers of the benefitted Health centres,namely,Afuye Primary Health Centre; Iraye Primary Health Centre;Otta - ikosi Primary Health  Centre;Oluwo Chief Market Epe Primary Health centre; Solu Alade Primary Health Centre;and Idotu Primary Health Centre; and members of the club during the distribution of the equipment at the Epe Club House, located at T- Junction, Epe, Lagos State;the President of the Club, Hon. Engr. Adebola Rasheed Shabi, revealed that the club which is very concerned about the development of Epe Division and her people,wants better healthcare delivered to all and Sundry in the division. He said,hence, the provision of various necessary medical equipment distributed to Primary Health Centres in  communities across Epe Division,since PHCs are closer to the people.

The President,who is a Member of Lagos State House of Assembly, urged the benefitted PHCs to put the equipment into judicious use and improve health service delivery in their various communities. He did not forget to point out that ,the Medical Equipment was provided by the Boyz  Section of Epe Club,as he thanked them and called the club members present to applaud the section,for their laudable contribution to the club and Epe Division,at large. Like Oliver Twist, Hon. Shabi,later placed a fresh demand before the Section,for the betterment of the club,which the Senior Boy of the Section,the Chairman,Royal WaterFront Hotel,Epe, Engr. Adeniyi Ogunsanya,responded to on behalf of the Section,as he commented that, the demand has been noted for necessary action.

One of the Elders of the club,Mr. Ademola Badejo, commended the Boyz Section,for their laudable contributions to the advancement of the club,and Epe Division. He opined that,the donation of the equipment will significantly support delivery of excellent healthcare services to people of this division.

Meanwhile,Engr. Adeniyi Ogunsanya,has revealed during a chat with the Pressmen at the event,that, based on the Section's findings that, most of the PHCs in the division needed the important medical equipment,the items which include:Scale and Heights, Examination Couches, Drip Stands, Anaroids, Stethoscopes,Thermometers, Beds,just to mention but a few ,were donated to the PHCs.

He explained that,Epe Club is committed to the well-being of the good people of Epe Division and to the development of the division,which he called new face of Lagos.

In his general message to the people of this division,Engr. Ogunsanya, called for youth empowerment,through education and needed skills ,in order for them to be relevant and maximally benefit from the various developmental achievements springing up in the division.

While responding on behalf of all the beneficiaries of the great donation,Mrs. Okonkwo Obiageli,from Otta- Ikosi, PHC,in Ikosi - Ejinrin LCDA, expressed heart-felt appreciation to Epe Club and the Boyz Section,for their genuine love and care for the people of Epe Division. She said with the laudable donation, the club,has displayed high level of love,generosity,care and concern for numerous patients receiving healthcare at various PHCs across the division. She later prayed for more power to the elbows of all members of the club.
