Babatunde Gbadamosi, former Lagos State governorship candidate under the Action Democratic Party (ADP) in 2019, has publicly criticized Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, accusing her of being ungrateful and spreading falsehoods about her career support.
In a social media outburst, Gbadamosi responded to recent claims by Funke that Sade Balogun, formerly known as Sade Gbadamosi, played a pivotal role in helping her career, particularly with her hit series *Jenifa’s Diary* and the film *Omo Ghetto: The Saga*. Funke had expressed her gratitude to Balogun during a public event, crediting her for much of her success.
However, Gbadamosi, who is the former owner of Amen Estate, took issue with these statements. He revealed that it was initially his idea to make comedian Ayo Makun (AY) an ambassador for Amen Estate, but his sister, Sade, persuaded him to offer the role to Funke instead, due to their familial connections.
"I blame my younger sister @iyaeto for Funke Akindele’s nauseating ingratitude and shameless lies. I was going to give the Amen Estate ambassadorship to AY, but my sister pressured me to give it to Funke, our 'à búrò,' because of her ties to us," Gbadamosi stated. He also claimed to have financially backed *Omo Ghetto: The Saga*, a claim that contradicts Funke’s narrative.
The public disagreement has sparked reactions online, with many questioning the behind-the-scenes dealings in the entertainment industry and the role of loyalty and gratitude among celebrities and benefactors.
