Charitable Network for Community Empowerment (chancengr) a Non- Governmental Organizations making great impact in the community on Saturday,October 19,2024, empowered and engaged almost 1000 ( One Thousand) Girls from both Secondary Schools and Primary Schools at a different locations in Lagos State,namely,Epe Local Government,Ibeju-Lekki Local Government and Ikosi- Ejinrin LCDA.
According to the Founder of CHANCE,Chief (Mrs.) Olajumoke Saliu, who talked to the pressmen at Epe Local Government,one of the venues of the seminar,the event was organised in commemoration of International Girl- Child Day;simultaneously for the Pupils and Students of both Primary and Secondary Schools in Epe, Eredo,Lekki and Ibeju- Lekki, Agbowa,Ejinrin and Ikosi,amongst others. She said,it was organised to engage and empower the participants who are only Females,on the various challenges they may encounter in the nearest future,and to introduce them to Digital Skills and at the same time broaden their knowledge of the modern technology.
"This Digital Girls Seminar,themed: " Girls Vision For the Future" Was organised in commemoration of International Girl Child Day,is targeted at empowering and enlightening girls at their young ages now,to prepare adequately for the future challenges ,as pertain to girls or women;in order for them to be able to take up their responsibilities as a confident,intelligent and resourceful women.The Digital Skill acquisition added ,is to help developed the Digital curiosity and knowledge of our girls,in all the three centres where this event is taking place simultaneously now. It will enable them to also build a career in technology and become digital champions,that the world is waiting for" She stressed.
This immediate past Chairperson of Eredo LCDA, did not forget to express her heartfelt appreciation to those organizations.

The Chairperson of Eredo LCDA,Mrs. OyinlOluwa Ismail,who was physically present at the Seminar,received the Award of Appreciation presented to Eredo LCDA by CHANCE,on behalf of the council; while Mrs. Onyelu Fortune Ijeoma,received on behalf of Algren Business Enterprises Ltd. They both lauded CHANCE,for catching the girl- child at tender age and mentoring them to greatness. They advised girls generally ,to be focused and determined for greatness in life and take to what was taught at the seminar,that they must not entertain fear but conquer every fear with bravery and confidence.
Some of the participants,namely,Amos Juliet, Adeyemi Fisayo,from Igbooye Senior High School; Adepoju Aishat,from Odo Obara Senior High School;and Odeshile Subuhat Ololade,from Epe Grammar School,have commended the organisers of the Seminar,as they pointed out that through it,they had been empowered to overcome any fear they had before attending the Seminar.
The Seminar featured theoretical and practical Training on Digital Skills;Spelling Bee Competition; Groups Session Enlightenment and Interactive Section on how to overcome one's fear and become great like male gender,in life; Dancing Competition;Presentation of gifts to deserved winners; Distribution of SoftCare Sanitary Pads to the participants; amongst other informative,educative and interesting packages.
