The Lawmaker,representing the good people of Epe Constituency I,in the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Abiodun Mustain Tobun, was on Friday,October 11,2024, joined other 39 members of the State House of Assembly,in the Annual Stakeholders Meeting,held simultaneously across the 40 Constituencies in the state.
In his address at the event,Hon. Tobun,pointed out few of his achievements,which included, Facilitation of Lekki-Epe Expressway project; Facilitation of ItoOmu- Elerangbe Road project,which was approved last Monday;Facilitation of the completion of Marina - Ita Marun Road Project; Facilitation of MCC,Mortuary and some other facilities at General Hospital,Epe; Provision of ICT Centre for digital empowerment of the youths,at Odo Obara High School; Facilitation of Road Construction at Fowoseje,Oshodi Tapa Road,and some network of roads in Agric; facilitation of Jetty, which is 90 % completion, with two Ferries; Facilitation of Traffic - Lights,at Ita -Opo,Aiyetoro, and Round - About,and more to come to various strategic locations in Epe; just to mention but a few of his laudable contributions.
Speaking on the recent upgrading of General Hospital,Epe ( GH,Epe) to Federal Medical Centre,Epe ( FMC,Epe), this crowd- pulling, Lawmaker, revealed that, " Although,our General Hospital,has been upgraded to FMC,that has not taken full effects yet, due to some logistics.The State Government has promised to provide another General Hospital for us and we have specifically requested that General Hospital,Ketu,should be expanded and well equipped to serve us along the FMC."
On the blackout in Epe since few months ago,this powerful politician who is also the Balogun of Epe, took the highly anxious constituents back to memory lane,in revealing the genesis of the problem,alternative steps taken and the solutions needed. " Members of the National Youth Council,Epe Chapter,wrote
the IKEDC,the Executive Chairman,Hon.Surah also did the same,before she brought it to my notice and I ,immediately took a good step which led to our meeting at the Lagos State Ministry of Energy. IKEDC, promised us two weeks and we were on their necks,doing everything possible to get the electricity supply"
He told the crowd that, Epe power usage is 11KVA,and effort is already being made to get the permanent solution to the electricity,as the project abandoned years back, has been rechanneled to the back of Epe Resort,towards Alaro City,which affects his own personal land along that axis.
Delivering the Speech of the Stakeholders' Meeting,titled," Ensuring Food Security For A Sustainable Future: Youth Participation & Home-Grown Farming" He advised everyone to start farm cultivation,noting that Agriculture Experts would soon come and train people who are interested in farming;in order to ensure food security and sustainability.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner representing Epe Division in the Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Ahmed Ayinde Seriki and the Executive Chairman,Epe Local Government,Hon. Surah Animashaun,have commended the various contributions of the Lawmaker,as they called for more cooperation and supports for him,Lagos State Government and other representatives of governmen in Epe Division.
