Nigeria @ 64: Ogunkelu urges Nigerians to remain hopeful for brighter future

Epe(Lagos State), Oct. 1st, 2024(NAN) Hon. Sylvester Ogunkelu, Member, Lagos House of Assembly, representing Epe constituency II, has urged Nigerians to remain calm and hopeful amidst economic challenges.


Ogunkelu disclosed in commemoration of Nigeria at 64th independent anniversary, on Tuesday, in Epe.


"As Nigeria marks its 64th Independence anniversary, citizens are urged to remain hopeful for a brighter future.


"Though, the nation faces economic hardships today, these challenges are stepping stones to a better tomorrow. There is a saying that: "No pain, no gain, " he said.


The lawmaker noted that this current administration, led by President Tinubu is working hard to stabilize the economy and create a more prosperous environment for all Nigerians.


"Meaningful economic reform requires time and collective effort from both the government and the people.


"In light of this, Nigerians are encouraged to exercise patience with the administration's ongoing efforts, while embracing the spirit of change within themselves, " he said.


He added that the road to transformation is never easy, but the collective will and determination of Nigerians can move the nation forward. 


"With ongoing efforts by President Tinubu led administration to tackle economic issues and improve infrastructure, brighter days lie ahead. 


"Real progress requires both patience and a deep belief in Nigeria’s potential.


"Every Nigerians are  part of this journey. Together, with perseverance, unity, and shared responsibility, the dream of a prosperous and thriving Nigeria is within reach. 


"Stay hopeful, stay positive, and contribute in your own way to the nation’s success.


According to him, the future of the nation depends on the commitment of every citizen to contribute positively to its growth and development.


"History shows that every great nation has gone through tough periods before emerging stronger. Nigeria is no different.


"Today's struggles are not permanent, but are paving the way for a better and more resilient country, " he said.


Ogunkelu urged his constituent to stay positive and hopeful.
