KESHINRO ATTENDS GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY AT ORA COMMUNITY IN EREDO, AFFIRMS EFFECTIVE GRASSROOT SECURITY (PHOTOS)

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command, Mr Adedotun Keshinro, earlier today, Tuesday, 26th November, 2024, attended, the groundbreaking ceremony, of the proposed, Divisional Office headquarters sited, in Ora of Ora Kingdom, for the Eredo Division of the Command. The Lagos State Commandant was joined, in this ceremony, by a team of senior officers from the State Command Headquarters, to ensure the emplacement of grassroot security for the people of Eredo Local Council Development Area.

The Lagos State Commandant while briefing the guests and the people, who were present at the ceremony, affirmed that the entire community will no more be a safe haven for vandals, saboteurs, criminal and unscrupulous elements et ce tera. He also seized the opportunity to warn unrepentant elements to pack their bags and bagages out of Ora community and the Eredo LCDA in general as there will be no more room for their nefarious activities, with the new development in the axis.

The groundbreaking  ceremony of a new proposed, permanent site for the Eredo Division and hospitable accomodations for personnel as mentioned, above was championed, by His Royal Highness Oba Peter Oriyomi Adekoya Ogungbesan, Olu Ora of Ora Kingdom, the Paramount Ruler of Ora Kingdom. The Oba pointed, the need for a befitting office and hospitable accomodations for the NSCDC Division in the community, following their unwavering role to emplace grassroot security of lives and property of his people and Kingdom. However, the Oba called, on the entire Government of the LCDA to come to the aid of the NSCDC on this project and play a major part in the project up to providing operational vehicle(s) for the office on or before its completion. The Oba also assured the Command that all the components worthy of a good Divisional Headquarters have been fully considered, in the architectural design of the building for smooth delivery of quality operational and administrative services.

The Honourable Chairman of Eredo LCDA, Akinloye Ismail Monsuru was ably represented, at the event by his Vice Chairman Honourable Abdulateef Adesanya. He called on the good people of Eredo to embrace this lofty development with all their heart and support good initiatives, which will reduce criminalities in their environment. He also assured, the Lagos State Commandant of the support of the Honourable Chairman of Eredo towards the successful completion of the project and other needed supports that will emplace effective grassroot security in their communities.

The laying of blocks was symbolically, done by the Lagos State Commandant, the Vice Chairman of Eredo LCDA, and others as part of the agenda to immediately, commence the building and complete it in no distance time.

The Lagos State Commandant also seized, the opportunity to appreciate the Government, Traditional Ruler, Community Development Association, Religious Institutions, other Stakeholders and the good people of the community for assisting the NSCDC and other security agencies to fight insecurity and do their job effectively. He also particularly, appreciated, the Oba for taking the business of security very seriously, at this critical time in our dear nation.
