As Elejinrin of Ejinrin Kingdom, HRM Oba Rafiu Ishola Balogun,( Ejalonibu II),celebrates 80th Year Birthday and 20th Year Coronation Anniversary,with the conferment of Chieftaincy Titles on dignitaries within and outside Nigeria; on Thursday,January 9,2025; at his palace; many of the chiefs have vowed to ensure the loss glory of the kingdom,returns.


The chiefs which include: Otunba Ola Bakare,the Bamofin of Ejinrin Kingdom;Otunba Obayedo Segun,the Akinrogun of Ejinrin Kingdom;Chief (Mrs.) Franca Peters,the Yeye Mesho of Ejinrin Kingdom;Otunba Bobaseye of Ejinrin Kingdom;Chief (Mrs.) Dayern Christy Korede Abayomi,the Yeye Agba Akin of Ejinrin Kingdom;Dr. Yusuf Abiodun Abideen,the Oloritun of Mercy Land,Ojota,Temu,Epe;Chief (Mrs.) Adiatu Ijaodola Adegbuyi Akinwande Mukadaz,the Erelu of Ejinrin Kingdom;Prince Bank Timothy Adesanmi Rufai,the Apesin of Igbodu Land; Chief(Mrs.) Adeola Rufai,the Yeye Apesin of Igbodu Land;Chief(Mrs.) Rasheedat Adesiji;the Yeye Fesogboye of Ejinrin Kingdom;Chief Adekunle Haruna Ishola Leo,the Fuwagboye of Ejinrin Kingdom;Mrs. Felicia Oluwatobi Leo; promised to do their best to uplift Ejinrin,economically,educationally,infrastructurally,socially,and environmentally.


While Chief Obayedo,said," We will bring back the lost glory of this kingdom. In the past,there was a popular song that attested to the economic growth of Ejinrin,which is: ' Oja Ejinrin o mo pe enikan o wa o. Bi Oko kan o re Ejinrin Egbegberun-un a lo...' I'm going to establish a big farm here in Ejinrin,and 90 percent of its staff,shall be indigenes of Ejinrin; this to boost her economic fortune" 


Otunba Ola Bakare,said," I will do my best towards the development of Ejinrin Kingdom,and I will support the Kabiyesi,HRM Oba Rafiu Ishola Balogun, in improving the lives of the people of Ejinrin Kingdom,in all ramifications."

However,Mrs. Tawakalitu Bakare,the wife of the new Bamofin of Ejinrin Kingdom,has enjoined women folks to be supportive to their husbands,as she thanked Elejinrin for finding her husband worthy of Honourary Chieftaincy Title conferred on him at the event. Also,

Hon. Justice Ope Ogunbowale, described Elejinrin,as a very wonderful man,and his Olori,as a very supportive wife. She said they both have the love of people at hearts; as she wished Elejinrin long reign on the throne of his fore-fathers.


Abibat Adesiji,the daughter of Chief (Mrs) Adesiji,urged youths of Ejinrin to take their education very serious,promising that her mother,will support them to the top.


Meanwhile,the General-Commandant of Odua Peoples' Congress (O.P.C),in Ikosi- Ejinrin, Mr. Mutiu Ekisanya, has described Elejinrin,as a good pillar of support,as he wished him long reign on the throne of his ancestors. He later assured everyone coming to the Grand- Finale of the ongoing celebration,on Sunday,January 12,2025,that security of lives and properties are guaranteed. He urged them to come and give support to whom honour is due,HRM Oba Rafiu Ishola Balogun,as the royal family and the whole good people of Ejinrin Kingdom,celebrate.
