THE PRESIDENT OF EPE CLUB, CHIEF OLAYEMI DADA
It is very painful to lose one of the elders of the club,one of the founding fathers to be precise,a former President ,and the B.O.T Chairman. However,we take solace in the fact that he lived a good life,he was a mentor to all of us. His legacy is what you can see in all the members of the club. He was always available in dealing with critical issues in the club and we looked up to him when we needed to get help at high places. Otunba Odebiyi,was a good man,very approachable man,whose memory will forever remain with us. On behalf of Epe Club, I condole with his family and pray that God will give them the strength to bear this loss. And to all members of Epe Club,I pray that God will give us long life, because,we are rejoicing that Otunba Odebiyi who was looking like 65 or 70 year old,had actually aged 86. He died at a good old age and his impactful contribution to the growth and advancement of this premier club is highly commendable.

Late Odebiyi is the Head of the Family of the Deputy Governor of Lagos State in Epe,Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat. The Deputy Governor,is not here because of pressing official engagement,but he has sent some people to represent him; he will be at the 8th Day Prayer.
Reliving the lifetime and legacy of our father, Otunba Odebiyi was a responsible, reliable and a great father. He has made good impact on Epe Division through Epe Club,as former President and B.O.T Chairman of the club until his demise. He was a selfless man,very passionate about the development of Epe and sacrificed a lot to ensure there is development in Epe Division. We are going to miss him greatly. I pray that Almighty Allah bless his soul and grant him Aljanah Fridaos.
VICE-CHAIRMAN,EPE LOCAL GOVERNMENT,HON. SIKIRU ADENIYI OWOLOMOSHE:
Late Otunba Bola Odebiyi,was one of my godfathers. He was a fine gentle man, very supportive ,caring and always wished goodness and success for others. I could remember some years ago, when he was at Galvanizing Industry Limited,Ikeja,he said to me’ Owos can you come with Bayo Osiefa( now late) to my office tomorrow? I said Yes. On getting to his office,he said to us, here are these two Cars,a V-Booth and a C-Class,I want to give them to you’. So,that was how we got the Cars with a peanut. Although,he was old prior to his death,I just wish, he did not die, because I ‘m going to miss him a lot. I will like to implore his children to please emulate him,he was a man of honour, kindheartedness ,humility and generosity.
THE CLUB PUBLICITY SECRETARY,HON. GIWA IDRIS, POPULARLY KNOWN AS ALOMA:
We can only described our Late Dad, Otunba Bola Taiwo Odebiyi,as a great man. If the Deputy Governor of Lagos State,His Excellency Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat,who is a member of the Odebiyi Family,can say a great man is gone,that means the man is truly great. He was an embodiment of humility and this humility,is what I want to emulate. I pray that his soul will rest in the bosom of God.
BASHORUN OF EPE LAND, ENGR. ADENIYI OGUNSANYA:
Late Otunba Odebiyi,was a very good man,a bridge builder,a good listener and a mentor to all of us. We looked up to him in decision making in the club, because he would always balance it;so that ,it is win-win for each side. We would miss him a lot and I pray that God will comfort his family members. His death has created vacuum here and there, depending on the connection one had with him during his lifetime.He was briefly in the school I attended, Muslim College,Ijebu -Ode.
His laudable contributions during our 70th Anniversary Celebration,was very supportive and we looked to seeing him at our Bi- Annual Conference,but God knows the best. We are going to Miss him so much,it is our prayer,that Almighty Allah will grant him eternal rest” EGOSA National President,Mrs. Olushola Alade -Raji ( Nee Ibisomi),stated.
Mushidat Kamoju(Nee Odebiyi)
His UK based daughter, who followed her dad’s corpse down to Nigeria,Mushidat Kamoju(Nee Odebiyi), revealed,” My Dad ,had been unwell for a while and he came to UK, where he got treatment; but sometimes in February,he said he wanted to return to Epe. We started the process, but we couldn’t complete the process before his demise. However,we have fulfilled his wish by bringing his remain down to Epe. My Dad was a great Dad,who gave all of us his 10 Children, quality education and still stood by us, even to the extent of assisting us financially. He had 12 grand children and one great -grand daughter. With what I could see here today,my father was a well liked man, who had touched many hearts positively. I want to sincerely appreciate the members of Epe Club,EGOSA and everyone who has rallied round us at this moment to honour this my good father, Otunba Bola Taiwo Odebiyi,I say thank you to you all.
The Executive Chairman of Eredo LCDA,was at the Epe Club and the deceased’s residence; and after signing the condolence register,he condoled with the Lagos State Deputy Governor,Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat and entire people of Epe Division on the demise of Otunba Odebiyi. He prayed that Almighty Allah will grant him eternal rest.
