It was celebration galore in Epe,Epe Division of Lagos State, on Sunday, April 13,2025, as Mrs. Odunlami Olushola Odutola, was inaugurated for the second time as the President of Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans (LASCOTA), Epe; at an historic event which took place at Recreation centre,Epe.
Inaugurated along the President,were the other Executive members of the association. While the Lagos State Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment, presented to the association, the certificate of recognition,which was received on behalf of the LASCOTA,Epe,by the President,the Vice- President and the General – Secretary; the State President of LASCOTA,Engr. Lawrence Ajayi, later presented to all the new Executive Members Certificates of Offices,according to each one’s portfolio.He charged them to keep the members of the association in Epe together,by extending hands of fellowship to other members of the association,who boycotted the election that produced the new leadership months ago. “Effort is being made to get them back , and I believe that ,they will soon come back. However,you must give them the sense of belonging and be united in the overall interest of Lagos State Council of Tradesmen and Artisans. You must uphold the association core values as you discharge your responsibilities” Engr. Ajayi stressed.
Hon. Wale Raji,who is the the Life Patron of LASCOTA,Epe Division, in his address at the event,charged the newly inaugurated President,Mrs. Odunlami Olushola Odutola, to perform beyond expectation in this new tenure of office. ” I have always known you as a vibrant, hardworking, humble and responsible Lady; and I’m aware, you did well in your 1st term, which is more reason you are enjoying this kind of overwhelming support here, today. I want to still advise you to take your performance to a greater and enviable level, this time around. Let the association be taken to a greater
Let the association be taken to a greater height under your leadership. Don’t rest on your oars and let the peace and unity in the association continue. Don’t categorize anyone as enemy or friend,all of you must be united and work together,in order to achieve your targeted goals as an association. I sincerely congratulate all of you and wish you successful tenure in office” He stated.
The Co- Chairman of the Day,who is the Chairman,Ijo Oje Parapo Welfare Association Home and Abroad,High Chief Omoba Adeniyi Elegunshi, has also congratulated the newly inaugurated Executives,while urging the President to ensure peace, progress and unity in the association.
Meanwhile,Mrs.Odutola,has vowed to ensure peace, progress and unity of the association. She revealed, herself and other Executives are making frantic effort to receive other members who were absent at the inauguration, back to the association. She also promised the completion of the LASCOTA Building, as soon as possible; and to provide other projects and programmes in advancement of the association.
