Following today’s strategic briefing at ACME regarding the forthcoming Chairmanship Primary Election scheduled for Saturday, the Electoral Committee has issued the following important guidelines to ensure a smooth, fair, and orderly process:
1. Accreditation Tags:
• Each aspirant is entitled to only one tag, either for themselves or for a designated agent.
• The name of the aspirant or their agent, along with the Local Government Area (LGA), must be sent via WhatsApp to the Accreditation Committee through the respective LGA Chairman for proper issuance.
2. Transportation Logistics:
• Council Chairmen are directed to provide one vehicle to transport LGA Excos (delegates) to the venue.
• Please note: No private or official vehicles will be allowed near the venue for security and crowd control reasons.
• Delegates who fall into any of the following categories will not be allowed to vote:
• Those who have defected from the party
• Those who are out of town or absent
• Those who have become Councillorship or Chairmanship aspirants
3. Withdrawal & Refunds:
• Any aspirant who voluntarily withdraws from the race on or before 12 midnight on Friday will be eligible for a full refund of their nomination fee.
• A formal letter of withdrawal should be addressed to the Chairman, Electoral Committee.
4. Accreditation Time:
• Accreditation of delegates will commence promptly at 8:00 AM on the day of the primary.
All concerned stakeholders are urged to comply strictly with these directives to ensure the integrity and credibility of the Chairmanship Primary Election process.
