A 65-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly kidnapping several children and keeping them captive in her residence. The suspect, whose identity remains unknown at the time of filing this report, was caught after a shocking discovery in her home.
According to eyewitnesses, one of the kidnapped children managed to escape from the house and raised an alarm, alerting residents in the area. In response, a group of concerned individuals quickly mobilized and stormed the suspect’s residence. Upon breaking in, they were met with a horrifying sight — six children were found tied up, with their hands bound behind their backs. Tragically, one of the children was already dead.
The mob immediately apprehended the elderly woman and handed her over to the authorities. During interrogation, she reportedly confessed to the crime, revealing that she had been abducting and selling children for as little as N50,000 each.
The case has since sparked outrage among residents and social media users, who are calling for a thorough investigation and justice for the victims. Photos from the scene have gone viral, showing the rescued children and the suspect being taken away by police.
