Applauds Council Chairman and entire workforce for effective service delivery
The Local Government Service Commission, led by its Chairman, Hon. Kamal Ayinde Bayewu, paid a working visit to Kosofe Local Government. The delegation was warmly received by the Executive Chairman, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe alongside the management team of the Local Government.
Hon. Bayewu commended the Executive Chairman of Kosofe Local Government for his Commitment towards service delivery and his unwavering welfarism towards staff.
In his address, Barr. Moyosore Adedoyin Ogunlewe commended the staff and management for their dedication, cooperation, and hard work in discharging their duties. He reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to staff welfarism.
Representing the Permanent Secretary LGSC, Mrs. Olawunmi Dada, Director of Establishment and Training at the Office of Local Government Establishment and Training, delivered a report highlighting the Commission’s efforts in reforming and repositioning the local government service. She emphasized the Commission’s role as a trailblazer and noted that this year’s stakeholders’ meeting focused on advancing the service through new reforms aligned with global best practices.
Mrs. Dada urged officers to become well-versed in the Civil Service Rules (CSR) and proposed the introduction of a Knowledge Sharing Session (KSS), to be held twice monthly, especially for the administrative cadre. She also emphasized the importance of computer literacy, noting the service’s increasing and reliance on technology.
In a message from the Commission’s Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Abosede George ably represented by Mrs. Ajayi Omobolanle, Director of Admin and Human Resource . She announced that the 2025 promotion letters are ready for collection, with further updates to follow. Mrs. Ajayi Omobolanle reminded officers to adhere strictly to protocol in official correspondence, stressing the necessity of the Council Manager’s input.
