As soon as the body of HRM OBA Shefiu Olatunji Adewale,who joined his ancestors yesterday,May 31,2025, was taken to Olu Epe Palace, Isale Agoro, a special prayer in Islamic manner was offered for repose of his soul in Aljanah Fridaos.
Amongst those who offered the special prayer, which was followed by a Lying -In-State,where the people of the Kingdom and others had the opportunity to pay their last homage to the monarch adjudged by all and sundry as an embodiment of integrity, simplicity, contentment and love; were his Chiefs,and the League of Imams of Epe Kingdom led by the Grand -Chief Imam of Epe Division, Fadeelat Sheikh Abiola Aliru Sadallah .
Drawing curtain on the Lying -In-State at the palace,a special prayer session was held in honour of the deceased at the 1st Epe Central Mosque,Oke Balogun, before Islamic prayer on the body outside the Mosque.
The prayer filled body of the monarch was taken through Ita Opo,Aiyetoro,en route Marina to his residence,where he was buried according to Islamic rites.
Hon. Wale Raji,Prof. Olajide Onibon, Chief Olayemi Dada, Dr. Dengel Anifowoshe, Arc. Wasiu Anifowoshe,Hon. Adeniyi Owolomoshe,Mr. Olayiwola Layi, were amongst dignitaries at the burial.
