The Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Surah Animashaun has received royal blessings from the royal fathers in Epe ahead of the Lagos Local government elections slated to hold on Saturday, 12th July 2025 in all the 20 LGs and 37 LCDAs.
The royal visit which took place yesterday, Monday 23rd June 2025 at the palace of Oloja of Epe Land, HRM Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun called for the presence of political icons, APC party faithfuls, educationists, traditional chiefs, market men and women and a host of other personalities.
The APC Epe divisional leaders and GAC member, Alhaji Akanni Seriki Bamu commended the council chairman for her good impact towards the development of the ancient town, Epe.
In his remarks;
“You have been a good ambassador of Epe and I am proud of you. Try to keep it up”
Bamu however prayed and urged all the candidates of the APC in the forthcoming LG elections to prepare well and never let the party and electorates be disappointed in them if elected.
Otunba Bode Alausa who is the Chairman campaign committee stated that;
“the party APC is well prepared towards clearing all the seats in the polls”
He showered encomium on Princess Surah on her performances of uncommon integrity
The Oloja of Epe Land, HRM Oba Kamorudeen Ishola Animashaun who led other royal fathers in prayers for Hon Surah expressed his profound gratitude to all political leaders of Epe for the support and trust given to his daughter as the flag bearer of the party, APC in Epe.
The monarch urged the council boss and the councillorship candidates of party to work together as a team for the betterment of Epe
He gave his royal blessings to the teams to be victorious
In interview sessions, the former speaker of Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji said that;
“there is no gain saying that the Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government has performed tremendously well in giving the best to the people of Epe”.
“I have no doubt in me that she has done her best and she deserves the second term”
“If the people want more dividends of democracy they must go out massively on the election day to vote for APC”.
“She is a good listener who deserves our votes”. He reiterated.
Hon. Abiodun Tobun also lent his voice to the call for victory for all APC candidates in the forthcoming elections.
He said;
“We can’t afford to loose any seat out to the other party in Epe. We must clear all”.
“The team is not just ready for the game but we are prepared to continue the good work”
“That’s why we are starting the campaign from the palace of our monarch”.
Meanwhile, the party leaders, members and candidates hit the road to APC party secretariat for official presentation of the party logo, brooms to the flag bearers and enlightenment.
