The coalition of Arewa Council of Chiefs in Lagos State today endorsed the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa for a second term in office owing to his superlative performance and the love his administration has shown to the Northern community residing in the Council Area.
While speaking with the ethnic body, Hon. Olowa acknowledged God for His protection and the gift of life over the people. He emphasized that the Arewa community, are people with great culture and unique traits as the harmonious relationship between the Local Government and them, has been very cordial.
Speaking further, the Council boss looked forward to deepening the relationship as he charged them to mobilize the Arewa community en masse ahead of the forthcoming Local Government polls. While assuring them that their interest will continue to be protected, he advised them to continue to partner with ibeju-Lekki in the aspect of commercialization for better economic prosperity.
Alhaji Haruna Kuraja the Sarkin Alimosho and Alhaji Hassan Awiyo, Sarkin Idi-Araba acknowledged Hon. Olowa’s efforts which has been heard far and wide, while also celebrating the fact that the Arewa community has enjoyed relative peace in Ibeju-Lekki, they called on their people to continue to give maximum support to the Chairman as they raised his hand in unison, endorsing him for a second term in office.
The Sarkin Hausawa and Secretary of the Arewa community in Ibeju-Lekki Local Government Alhaji Musa Abubakar and Alhaji Mustapha Ibrahim thanked Hon. Olowa for his kind gesture as the door of the Executive Chairman is always open any time they call on him, as the SSA on information, Alimosho Local Government, Mallam Ibrahim Jagaba also assured him that the Arewa community in Lagos will continue to promote his good works.
Present at the event were, the Leader of the Legislative Council, Hon. Mojeed Olayinka, the Secretary to the Local Government, Hon. Adewale Adebanjo, the Special Adviser on Chieftaincy and Intra-boundary affairs, Hon. Aliasau Oladehinde, the APC Party Chairman Hon. Babatunde Eletu, Apex leader, Hon. Monsuru Oludaisi Kazeem, former Lagos State House of Assembly member, Hon. Raheem Kazeem, former Vice Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Odofin Jelili, Hon. Idogun Surakat amongst other dignitaries.
