The atmosphere was charged with party chants, banners, and solidarity songs, as speakers took turns highlighting the achievements of APC-led administrations and the need to consolidate on progress at the grassroots level.
As the July 12 elections draw near, the APC in Epe Division has clearly signaled its readiness and determination to maintain political dominance in the area.
Prominent leaders and stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Epe Division have rallied support for their candidates in the upcoming Local Government Elections scheduled for Saturday, July 12, 2025. They emphasized that while APC remains the dominant and widely accepted political force in the division, a massive voter turnout is crucial to solidify their influence and prepare for future elections—particularly the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the grand rally held at the Epe Recreation Centre, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji, noted:
“Akogun Wale Raji-Anomo and other council chairmen have changed the narratives in their respective councils through unprecedented developmental projects and quality service delivery. That is why we must re-elect them.
Although we have no real opposition in Epe Division, we cannot afford to be complacent. APC is the only well-rooted and widely embraced party here, but we must reaffirm this through the ballot. Let our votes send a strong message—not just for the local elections—but in preparation for the 2027 re-election of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR. We must show our political weight.”
Party stalwarts including Alhaji Bamu, Hon. Wale Raji, Hon. Abiodun Tobun, Hon. Ogunkelu, and Barrister Oladunjoye also charged all APC members and supporters to return to their neighborhoods and canvass vigorously for votes across the Epe Local Government Area, Eredo LCDA, and Ikosi-Ejinrin LCDA.
They acknowledged the performance of current council chairmen, stressing that their second term would bring even more inclusive governance and grassroots development.
The rally witnessed an impressive turnout, with enthusiastic participation from various groups loyal to APC, including the Transport Unions, Youth Groups, Market Men and Women Associations, Epe Corporate Social Support Network Foundation, All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Artisans, Students’ Unions, and many others—demonstrating a broad-based show of solidarity.
