The Executive Chairman of Lekki Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali, has taken a significant step towards improving security and enhancing the quality of life for residents in Lekki LCDA. In fulfillment of his promise to the people, Engr. Kasali has installed over 400 solar street lights in seven communities within the council area.
The communities that have benefited from this initiative are Ilagbo, Shiriwon, Origanrigan, Idata, Olomowewe, Itamarun, and Otolu. This development is expected to greatly improve security in these towns, making nighttime movement safer for residents. The installation of solar street lights is also a testament to the Chairman’s commitment to embracing renewable energy solutions and improving the welfare of the people.
Engr. Kasali expressed his delight with the project’s progress, stating that the initiative is part of his vision to bring progress to every community in Lekki LCDA.
He emphasized that the solar street lights will not only improve visibility but also serve as a security measure, allowing residents to clearly see their surroundings, which will also serve as security in the community, lighting up areas for residents to see their surroundings clearly
