The Odi-Olowo/Ojuwoye Local Council Development Area (LCDA) mourns the untimely passing of Hon. Zainab Shotayo, the youngest councillor in the council, who sadly died at the age of 30.
Hon. Shotayo, known for her dedication, humility, and unwavering service to her ward and the entire community, was a rising star in grassroots leadership. Her passion for youth development, women empowerment, and inclusive governance earned her widespread admiration and respect among her constituents and colleagues.
Speaking to Lagostrend reporter on behalf of the council, the Executive Chairman expressed deep sorrow over the loss, describing her as “a vibrant, selfless, and visionary leader whose contributions to the development of Odi-Olowo will never be forgotten.”
Her passing is not only a great loss to the council but also to Lagos State’s political community, where she had become a symbol of hope for young women aspiring to leadership roles.
Funeral arrangements will be announced by the family in due course.
The council extends its heartfelt condolences to her family, friends, colleagues, and the people of Odi-Olowo during this difficult time.
May her soul rest in perfect peace.
