Lagostrend report that Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, has lauded the philanthropic contributions of Hon. Olatunji Bello, describing his unwavering commitment to societal development as a legacy worthy of emulation.
Speaking at the unvelling of Multipurpose auditorium in lasu epe campus, the Governor noted that Bello’s generosity and community-centered initiatives have continued to uplift lives and strengthen the foundation for sustainable growth across the state. He emphasized that true leadership is measured not only by political achievements but also by one’s ability to touch lives positively.
“Hon. Tunji Bello has consistently demonstrated that service extends beyond public office. His philanthropy speaks volumes about his dedication to humanity and to the future of Lagos State,” Sanwo-Olu said.
The Governor also commended Dr. Hakeem Alausa, Lagos State Commissioner for Tertiary Education, for his transformative efforts in the education sector. According to Sanwo-Olu, Dr. Alausa has played a pivotal role in advancing academic standards, expanding access to quality education, and fostering an environment where students can thrive.
“Dr. Alausa’s impact on education is remarkable. His reforms and visionary leadership are ensuring that our tertiary institutions not only meet global standards but also serve as a hub for innovation, research, and development,” the Governor added.
Governor Sanwo-Olu further urged other leaders, professionals, and well-meaning citizens to emulate the examples of Bello and Alausa by investing in people and institutions that drive the state’s progress
Governor Sanwo-Olu reaffirmed the government’s unwavering support for LASU, announcing that the state will soon commission and hand over the largest university library in Nigeria to the institution.
He urged other well-meaning citizens to take a cue from Bello’s exemplary gesture. “As a government, we will continue to play our part, but we also call on private individuals to partner with us by giving back to the community. Education is a shared responsibility,” he stated.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives that enhance education, community development, and youth empowerment across Lagos State.
