The media team of Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba Esq. (Mayor KK), the representative of Alimosho Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, has responded to recent discussions surrounding his contributions to the community.
It has come to our attention that one Bolaji Olawale (Sen. Beejay), a member of the media team of Hon. Abidemi Rufai, the Leader of the Legislative House of Egbe-Idimu LCDA, made a post that has sparked a wave of controversy.
We wish to clarify the facts: many constituents, especially the youth, require more political orientation and understanding of the workings of the State and National Assemblies. It is unfortunate that some party members may lack knowledge of current political dynamics, especially at the federal level. Hon. Ayuba, a first-time member, should not be compared to seasoned politicians such as the Speaker of the House, who represents a larger constituency and holds a leadership role in the chamber.
Hon. Ayuba has made significant strides in empowering his constituents. Over one year and a half, he has secured over 10 jobs for constituent youth and provided empowerment to more than 1,500 youths and women through various initiatives, including:
– Fish farming and ICT training (Phone repair)
– Distribution of sewing and grinding machines
– Cash gifts to the elderly
– Donation of incubators and essential drugs to Alimosho General Hospital
– Maternal and newborn delivery packs for pregnant women and nursing mothers
– Installation of motorized solar-powered boreholes in several Alimosho communities
– Provision of free JAMB forms to over **150 students
– Scholarships for deserving students
– Construction of six classrooms and provision of furniture
– Renovation of dilapidated schools
– Financial support for medium and small-scale entrepreneurs
– Payment of hospital bills and distribution of relief materials to flood victims in the White-Sand area of Isheri-Oshun.
– Installation of Solar Powered Light across Alimosho Federal Constituency.
– Offer of Financial Support to Constituents on monthly basis.
Bolaji Olawale (SEN. BEEJAY) is a beneficiary of Hon. Ayuba’s 2024 Empowerment for Constituents.
It is particularly noteworthy that Bolaji Olawale (Sen. Beejay), who has raised the false concerns, is a beneficiary of an ICT/Phone Repair Training & Empowerment initiative by Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, conducted on *November 1st and 2nd, 2024*, at the Igando-Ikotun LCDA Secretariat.
His name was submitted as one of the beneficiaries from Egbe-Idimu LCDA to the Constituency Office of the legislator as ‘AYINDE MUH-JAMIU BOLAJI.’ It can be found on Page 40, No. 42, in the brochure to commemorate One (1) Year in Office of Hon. Ganiyu Adele Ayuba, Esq.
With 360 members in the House of Representatives, comparing a first-time member with veteran legislators is not entirely fair unless extraordinary connections are involved.
Hon. Ayuba has set a commendable precedent and deserves recognition for his efforts rather than unwarranted comparisons.
In conclusion, while constructive criticism is welcome, it is vital that such critiques are based on accurate information and facts. We have documentation and photographs to support our claims.
