G.10 CELEBRATES 4TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY,WITH DISTRIBUTION OF PALLIATIVES,EDUCATION MATERIALS

One of the impactful and highly community development concerned Non Governmental Organization in Nigeria,which has its base in Eredo LCDA in Epe Division of Lagos State, known as the Golden Ten of Lagos ( G.10),was on Saturday, February 8,2025,celebrated her 4th Year Anniversary ,with the distribution of Exercise Books,Mathematical Sets to pupils of 18 Public Primary Schools in Eredo LCDA,bags of Food Stuff and Cash gift to the needy and the poor in the society.

While Delivering the Anniversary Lecture, tagged,”The Role of Youths Towards Community Development” At Ijebu- Ode Road, Odomola,the Guest – Speaker, from Lagos State University of Education,Epe Campus,Comrade Olumuyiwa Ogunlari,analyzed the age brackets of Youth as obtainable in Nigeria,other African Countries and in advanced countries of the World. It was on the basis of this, that he charged Nigerian Youth,which he described those who are between age 16 to 49, to be determined and focused,in order to become responsible leaders in life, that will contribute meaningfully to the development of their communities,geographically,socially,religiously,professionally,vocationally,academically,amongst others.

Butressing his point,he praised the youthful and laudable achievements and accomplishment of Late former Governor of Lagos State,Sir Michael Otedola;Former Member,Federal House of, representing Epe Federal Constituency,Hon. Bola Gbabijo,who the B.O.T Chairman of G.10; and host of others;in the area of Education. He noted that, what they laboured for in their youthful time,is what that has developed into the spead of tertiary institutions in Epe Division,today.

” G.10,what you are doing today,is exemplary. However,I implore you to focus more on education development,Skills acquisition and Healthcare programmes to develop our youths. Engage in advocacy to discourage early

early pregnancy which is rampant amongst our girls in Epe. The black-out in Epe,is a big challenge to everyone of us,but you as a G.10,with the mission: ” Light up Lagos” must not relent in your effort to ensure electricity supply is restored to this division. I know,our leaders,are trying,and I pray that,God should crown their efforts” He concluded.

The Matron of the G.10,the beautiful queen of Odomola Kingdom, Chief (Mrs.) Arike Adebowale; the B.O. T Chairman ,of the G.10,the Apesin 1 of Epe Land, Hon. Bola Gbabijo,popularly known as Yes ooo!; Overall Ibo Leader in Epe Division, Eze Ndigbo ,Dr. Ferdinand Aguneke; the Chairman,George Group of Companies,and the C.E.O Ajoogun Hotel, Chief Dr. Oladehinde .S. George; C.E.O Durim Paints, Alhaja Odulate Bilikis Adenike,Councilor representing M1,in Eredo LCDA Legislative House ,Hon. Sulaimon Adebola;Education Secretary, Epe LGEA, Hon. Idowu Aliu Shittu, who was represented at the historic event, by H.O.S,School Support Services, Mr. Laguda Sikiru Babatunde; have all commended the members of the G.10, for their commitment towards ensuring quality education and piverty alleviation amongst Niverian populace. They also urged everyone who cares about community development,to give the N.G.O, necessary supports; as they advised the youths in the country,to be diligent,responsible,hardworking and be purposeful in contributing their quotas to the development of the nation and their various communities.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the G.10, Comrade Adekoya Idris Adebambo,has appreciated those who are giving the group supports one way or the other. He has also appealed to those who care about community development ,to assist the organization with a operational vehicle to be able to carry out its activities hitch-free,regardless of distance.

The pupils,Teachers and Lagosians,who are beneficiaries of the good gesture of the day,expressed their heartfelt appreciation to the members of the organization and offered fervent prayers for her advancement.
