The community of Pako, Amukoko Roundabout under Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area, Lagos is in mourning following the death of a businesswoman and grandmother, who was stabbed to death by her grandson. The grandson then stole 4 Million Naira and gold jewelry.
According to reports received by Lagostrend, the boy resided with his grandmother, who regularly traveled to Cotonou in the Benin Republic to buy goods for resale in Nigeria.
On Friday, 21 February 2025, a grandmother prepared to travel for business as usual. Upon noticing she possessed a substantial amount of money (4 million Naira cash) intended for purchasing goods in Cotonou, her grandson stabbed her to death on Friday night and escaped with the money and gold jewelry.
The family remained unaware of the grandmother’s death until Sunday, 23 February 2025, when a family member visited her, three days after the incident.
That was when they discovered that the grandma had been murdered; she was found in a pool of her blood with 3 knives.
