The importance of education as a lasting legacy was once again highlighted today as the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, welcomed new students to the ongoing weekend tutorial classes hosted at Pan-Atlantic University.
Addressing students from various public secondary schools across the local government, Hon. Olowa encouraged them to remain dedicated to their studies and avoid distractions that could derail their future. He reminded them that true success is earned through discipline and hard work, not by chance.
In his words, “Whatever you hope to become tomorrow starts with the choices you make today. Stay focused, be curious, and keep learning.”
The Chairman also expressed deep gratitude to the management of Pan-Atlantic University, led by Vice Chancellor Professor Enase Okonedo, for their steadfast partnership over the past four years. He noted that the university has continued to provide a world-class platform for students in Ibeju-Lekki to excel.
Since the inception of the tutorial program, students in the council area have shown remarkable academic improvement. The initiative, which aligns with the Chairman’s commitment to youth development and quality education, is one of many interventions aimed at securing a brighter future for the younger generation.
Hon. Olowa, who is now in his second term, reaffirmed his commitment to building on past achievements and expanding opportunities for students through more robust educational support programs.
The Chairman was accompanied to the event by Hon. Sebiu Lawal, Chief Whip of the Legislative Council and Councillor representing Ward C2, Mr. Bidemi, MD/CEO of Core Bank, and other notable dignitaries.
