The National Executives of Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, Obantoko, Abeokuta Old Students Association (NUDGOSA) have unveiled exciting plans for the 2025 Convention, following the inaugural meeting of its Convention Planning Committee. The meeting, which officially marked the beginning of preparations, yielded key resolutions that promise to make the event a historic and unifying celebration for alumni across generations.
The Committee announced that the 2025 NUDGOSA Convention will span an entire week, taking place in January 2026, and will bring together members from all chapters across Nigeria and the diaspora. The convention will culminate in three major event days scheduled to hold simultaneously on Thursday, 22nd; Friday, 23rd; and Saturday, 24th January, 2026.
The Convention Week will feature a rich and vibrant lineup of activities tailored to celebrate the legacy of Nawair-Ud-Deen Grammar School, promote intellectual and social engagement, and honour the contributions of outstanding members.
Highlighted activities include:
Quiz and Debate Competitions aimed at nurturing academic excellence and critical thinking among current students.
A Novelty Football Match, bringing back memories of school sportsmanship and camaraderie.
NUDGOSA Chapters’ Evening Hangout, providing a relaxed platform for social bonding and inter-chapter networking.
A Special Jummah Prayer Session, fostering spiritual reflection and unity.
A Prestigious Honourary Awards Ceremony to recognize distinguished alumni for their contributions to the school and society.
A Convention Lecture, focused on national or educational development themes, featuring a respected guest speaker.
A Press Conference by the National President, where the association’s progress, plans, and convention objectives will be formally communicated to the public and the media.
And many more enriching and celebratory engagements throughout the week.
The Committee reaffirmed its dedication to delivering a memorable and impactful convention experience that pays homage to the school’s heritage, strengthens present connections, and lays a foundation for future growth.
