Lagostrend report that The Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa, has once again demonstrated his commitment to youth development and community integration by hosting members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) serving within the local government area.
The event, which took place at the council secretariat, provided a platform for meaningful interaction between the council boss and the corps members, fostering stronger ties and promoting collaboration in community service.
In his address, Hon. Olowa welcomed the corps members warmly and commended them for their dedication and contributions to nation-building, especially at the grassroots level. He described the NYSC scheme as a vital bridge for national unity, adding that Ibeju-Lekki remains committed to providing an enabling environment for them to thrive.
“You are not just guests in Ibeju-Lekki; you are part of this community. Your service here will leave a lasting impact, and we are committed to supporting you as you contribute your quota to our development journey,” Hon. Olowa stated.
The corps members, who expressed appreciation for the Chairman’s hospitality, noted that the gesture would further encourage them to give their best in their places of primary assignment.
The interactive session also afforded the corps members an opportunity to share their challenges and suggestions on how the council could enhance their welfare during their service year.

The Corp Members were warmly welcomed by the Mayor and he charged them to be steadfast, committed and diligent in their respective service to their Fatherland with the assurance of the administration’s support.
The Compulsory Community Development Service of Corp Members was mandatory for students to instill discipline and hardwork into them thereby inducing a positive Mindset in them.
By hosting the corps members, Hon. Olowa reaffirmed his administration’s vision of building a progressive and inclusive Ibeju-Lekki where youths are empowered and actively engaged in development initiatives.
