ISESE LAGBA, AKU ODUN ISESE O
August 20th marks a significant day in the Yoruba calendar, a day to commemorate the rich cultural heritage of the Yoruba people. Isese Day is a celebration of the traditional Yoruba way of life, honoring the gods, ancestors, and the community.
A DAY OF REFLECTION AND GRATITUDE
Isese Day is an opportunity for the Yoruba people to reflect on their history, traditions, and values. It’s a day to express gratitude for the blessings of the gods, the wisdom of the ancestors, and the resilience of the community.
UNITY AND SOLIDARITY
Isese Day is also a day of unity and solidarity among the Yoruba people. It’s a time to come together, strengthen bonds, and reaffirm commitment to the community and its values.
This is the time for us to join hands together and work towards common goals that will benefit our communities & humanity as a whole.
All thanks to Lagos State government under the leadership of His Excellency, Babajide Sanwoolu who had set apart a day in the year to honour our ancestral history. It is often said that “a river that forgets it’s brook is tending towards dryness”. The Yoruba culture is not going to be left forlorn. Our history is our pride and we take delight in it
I, Honourable Chief Adeleye Samson (Golden) celebrate with the people of Nigeria today and especially Lagos state for reawakening the cultural spiritual within us.
