Stop giving Excuses – Ondo North demands credible result from Senator Ipinsagba

The political landscape in Ondo North is shifting decisively against incumbent Senator Jide Ipinsagba. Devoid of backing from his local government area and federal constituency, his aspirations for the senatorial district appear increasingly untenable a pursuit as improbable as an unsupported campaign prevailing against grassroots momentum.

Currently, the Senator is shuttling between Abuja and Lagos, expending Ondo North’s collective resources in a futile quest for a nonexistent ticket. This is particularly regrettable for an incumbent expected to command greater influence. Notably, House of Representatives members in the district have facilitated more job opportunities and executed superior projects compared to Senator Ipinsagba’s record. Observe the tangible achievements of his colleague, Senator Natasha, and his counterpart in House of Representative as Chairman of the House Committee on Public Procurement outcomes marred only by Ipinsagba’s persistent litany of excuses.

President Tinubu’s directive empowers the electorate, direct primaries shall proceed where consensus falters. As matters stand, Senator Ipinsagba stands no chance of securing the House of Representatives seat in his own federal constituency.

His recent “end-of-fasting program,” requiring tickets for constituent access to meals, exemplifies performative politics over genuine service. Authentic leadership provides without barriers, this tactic betrays evident desperation.

After 16 years of underwhelming representation, Ondo North demands proven competence transcending self interest. The constituency envisions industrialized growth, youth empowerment removing them from the streets, functional medical infrastructure, accessible markets and farm roads for efficient goods transport, mechanized agriculture, and the Akunu Cattle Ranch initiative.

The mandate for transformative leadership rests with the people. Ondo North must choose progress over procrastination and Excuses.
